Construct X Group

Terms & Conditions

Last updated:

These terms cover your use of this website. By using the site you agree to them.

They are not the terms for any building work. If we carry out work for you, the terms are the ones in the written quote and contract we give you.

Who we are

This website is run by Construct X Ltd. On the site we call ourselves Construct X Group. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14856704. Our registered office is 31 Boleyn Avenue, Enfield EN1 4HR.

You can reach us at info@constructxgroup.co.uk or on 0345 548 6355.

Using the site

You may use the site for your own personal, lawful purposes: to find out about us and our work, and to get in touch.

You must not:

  • use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms anyone
  • try to get into, damage or disrupt the site or the systems behind it
  • make fake bookings, or bookings in someone else’s name without their agreement
  • use automated tools to send bookings or to overload the site

We may block access to the site, or cancel a booking, if these terms are broken.

We try to keep the site available and working, but we do not promise that it always will be. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Booking a callback

Booking a callback reserves a time for a phone or WhatsApp call with our director. It is free. It is not an order, and it does not commit you or us to any building work.

Please give details that are accurate and your own. If we cannot reach you at the time booked, or the time has to change, we may use the details you gave to arrange another.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the details you give.

Information on this site is general

The guides, case studies and other content on this site are general information about building work. They are written to help you understand the subject. They are not legal, planning, structural, financial or other professional advice, and they are not a survey of your property.

Every property and every project is different, and rules and guidance change. Before you act on anything you read here, take advice from a suitably qualified professional about your own situation.

We take care over what we publish, but we do not promise that everything on the site is complete, accurate or up to date.

Prices and estimates

Any price on this site is a starting figure or an estimate. It is not a quote, and it is not an offer to carry out work at that price.

What a project costs depends on the property, the design, the specification and when the work is done. The price for your project is the one in the written quote we give you after we have looked at the property.

If we carry out work for you, the written quote and contract decide what is included and what it costs, not this website.

Photographs and illustrations

Some images on this site are illustrations and not photographs. They include 3D visuals made with AI, which we label as illustrative, and the diagrams in our guides. They are there to help explain a project or an idea. They are not an exact record of any property.

Layouts, finishes and fittings shown in any image are examples. What is included in your project is what is set out in your written quote and contract.

Customer reviews

The reviews on this site are copied from public reviews on Google, Trustpilot and Houzz. They are the opinions of the people who wrote them. Where a review has no title of its own, the short title shown with it is ours.

Who owns the content

The text, design, photographs, drawings and logos on this site belong to us or to the people who have allowed us to use them. They are protected by copyright and other rights.

You may view the site, and download or print pages, for your own personal use. You must not copy, republish or sell any of it, or use it for a business, without our written permission.

The names and logos of other companies shown on the site, such as the review sites, belong to those companies.

The party wall example letters are different. See the next section.

The party wall example letters

Our guide to party wall agreements offers a download of example notice letters. They are published by the UK government on GOV.UK, and we supply them unedited. They are Crown copyright and are available under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

The letters are examples. Check GOV.UK for the current versions and the guidance that goes with them, and take advice if you are not sure which notice applies to you.

The site links to websites and apps run by other companies, such as WhatsApp, GOV.UK and the review sites. We do not control them, and we are not responsible for what they contain or for how they handle your information. A link is not a recommendation.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect.

Subject to that:

  • the site is provided for general information and for private, domestic use. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity
  • we are not liable for loss or damage that comes from relying on the general information on the site without taking advice about your own situation
  • we are not liable if the site is unavailable, or for loss or damage that we could not reasonably have foreseen

We do not promise that the site is free from viruses or other harmful code. Use your own virus protection.

These terms are about the website. Our responsibility for any building work we carry out is set out in the contract for that work.

Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains what the site stores in your browser.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. The terms that apply are the ones on this page when you use the site.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute about them, or about your use of the site, will be decided by the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in.
